Dell KB522 Keyboard USB stick power qquestion

Hi All!

I've got several DELL PCs (more then 20) with KB522 USB keyboards. Some of the PCs are Desktop, some portable. The KB522 has got 2 USB ports for mouse and USB sticks. When I plug a  USB stick into one of the USB ports the computer can boot Linux from it and I can use it under Linux.

However previously under Windows 10 and now under Windows 11 this never worked.

I can not use the USB stick under Windows, because Windows tells me that the USB hub (which is the keyboard) doesn't support (any) of the USB sticks due to low power.

I have tried it for years on every computer we have and it never works under Windows.

How come I can even boot up Linux from it and use it under linux, but never to use under Windows.

Is there are way to "force" windows to use it somehow?
