Dell Command Update fails with System Security Error
This has started happening recently on multiple computers - Command Update fails when you pick the Check button - "No update information is available - a system security error has occurred." Removing and reloading CU did not help.

Having the same problem on Dell Latitude 7430, reinstalling Dell Command Update does not help. Tried installing SupportAssist, but the driver update functionality does not work in SupportAssist either.
UPDATE: The Dell Command Update started working again recently.

I had this problem with a couple of Dell Latitudes, tried running the CLI application as below:
dcu-cli.exe /scan -outputLog=C:\log\dculog.log
This log is more verbose than the standard 'activity log' within DCU. It showed a 'signature verification failed' error:
I imported the root certificates from a working machine and it fixed the issue - hope this helps someone else!
